My Mum, dad, Ethan, Logan, Jackson, Dre and I were at the Huntly Speedway, it was the night that the fireworks were on.

We walked in the gates and saw our friends so went and sat down by them, and all of our other friends came. Dre and I decided  to buy some food so  started walking to the food store It was A windy night the speedy was crowded and the engines of the stock cars were like loud planes. When we got to the food store it was was a long queue, but you could smell the smell of fresh chips it like you were in the kitchen. When we got our hot chips went to where everyone was sitting it was dark now. Suddenly the commentator said “are you ready to see some some fireworks” and everybody yelled yes it sounded like
everyone  was talking in microphones.

The speedway went dark everyone was cheering. It was like you were shutting your eyes the only lights you could see was the lights in town our the glow sticks  everyone had  then the commentator said “lets count down from ten 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1, 0”  then the fireworks went off they were so loud but cool to watch. When the fireworks were going up it looked like lava shooting out of a volcano after the fireworks there were  a few more races after the races My mum, Dad, Dre, and I went  back to the car. It was a long queue and there was cars as far as I could see.  My Mum, Dre and I were in the car but my dad was walking  through the parking lot then when he got to the gate He started directing traffic. It was funny to watch because  the people in the cars were saying thankyou, when it  came to us he told us to stop! then he hopped in the and we went home.

"Are you ready yet Max" my assistant asked.

As I(Max )was getting ready to walk across to skyscrapers I thought to myself I can do this. I put my first foot on the long wire and heard everyone cheering a big rush of excitement it went through me like I just got shot out of a cannon, I was ready.

“Are you ready yet Max?”yeah just tying on my shoes here I come. I was too scared to look down at the people cheering so I just looked to the other side of the wire were people that were cheering. I  just checked that everything was secure then I held my  balance pole in front of me after that I thought to myself hope I make enough money to fund-raise for cancer. I am going to do this then I started walking the wind was howling like a crying wolf and the frost was biting my neck.

When I was nearly at the halfway mark I could see the fireworks in the distance and could just hear the faint cheering and I could smell the  fresh smell of hotdogs.  As I was going foot by foot I was getting closer to fundraising the money for cancer.  I  took another step my foot slipped and the next second I was in mid air falling to the ground,  I could hear everyone screaming. I was going as fast as a jet  through the air I thought I was going to die. As I was falling  I said my prayers then suddenly   I got swooped up and when I opened my eyes  I was hanging  off spiderman.  Everyone was cheering when we got to the closest balcony I said thank you then Spider man took going to save another person.  Then a reporter came and asked me how I was. I was ashamed that I didn't make the money for cancer but I have another big event walking across the grand canyon so I hope I can do that one.

I saw the big colorful  sign saying 400 meters till loge turn off as we passed the sign a reflection shined in I smelt sofa burning. I felt excited I knew we had averred in Rotara.

when we got there I ran to the main office and there was a simulator of a loge.When my mum dad and my big brother got there we walked over and paid for twenty rides to share.we saw the gondoliers  going up after we paid wego lead to the gondoliers when we got there there was a gondolier waiting for us as when got on I felt excited .as we were going up we saw saw six deer and sheep. When we got to the top of the mountain there were lines everywhere and also a gift shop and a food shop then we saw a helmet bucket I got a blue helmet. We lined up for the beginners track. when it was  our turn we all hopped on the closest carts and the lady taught my family and I how to work them.Once we were ready my dad, my big brother and I were off. It cool and breezy through the forest. it was fun my dad was ahead and  my brother I got used to it I was going fast and catching up I was skidding around the And I could smell the beautiful smell  of burning tires and tree sap. then I saw a sign saying ten meters to the of the track at the end was tunnel at the end there was a singel track so there was a big line. we had to park our carts on the elevator and cault seat lifts to the top of the hill for another turn.

it was so cool.

Swimming Sports

It was a very hot. It was so hot that the sun was making steam rise off the wooden stands.It was the day I was going to win swimming sports.


The whole school was on the peeling wooden stands, then Jack called out in a professional, loud voice “Open race 100 metre Freestyle, boys and girls.” That was me!

I jumped off the hot wooden stands onto the cold cobblestones. When I got over there Mr K  said “girls come on.” They finished their race. He said “Boys come on.” I felt excited.


I stood at the edge of the pool then Mr K held up his hands and said ready set go. I was off! I was speeding through the water like a swimming penguin! I was coming fifth. Two laps down two to go. I got to the end, tumble turned, I had one lap to go. I was hooning down the home straight. Boom I touched the wall. I was finished!

After the race I walked over to the marking bench. I said “I came fifth.” She said “Well done Josh! You tried your best.” I felt extremely proud of myself.

This had been my best year at swimming sports ever!
